In-Dealership Enhanced Safety Processes

 

Service Check-in Process

  • When you arrive at Subaru of Mississauga, find an open parking spot, preferably one that’s not right next to another vehicle
  • Please turn off your vehicles HVAC system and Fan.
  • Lock your vehicle, bringing the key with you (separate your Subaru key from any others) and enter the Main Reception vestibule.
  • In the vestibule, a Service Assistant, wearing personal protective equipment for added safety, will meet you to check you in.
  • For electronic keys, your key will be placed in an envelope, for others your Subaru key will be disinfected.
  • For a Contactless visit, the Service Assistant will hand your keys to one of our Service Consultants whom will call your mobile number to walk through your appointment details and to make communication arrangement’s and your paperwork.
  • For a Contact Visit – you may enter the Service Reception area and speak directly to one of the Service Consultants regarding the details of your appointment. (You will have to wear a mask and put on a ‘new’ pair of gloves (that we provide)
  • We really encourage you to NOT wait at the dealership while your vehicle is being serviced. It may be a really good time, to get picked up by someone else or to go for a fabulous walk!
  • If you do wish to wait, we have some seating outside and limited seating in our Customer Lounge and/or Delivery room.(socially distanced.) For your safety and the safety of others, our customer lounge amenities are not available at this time. (Coffee, tea, water , newspapers etc.)

Please Note: The Shuttle Service or our Loaner vehicles are currently not available due to social distancing limitations and current health/safety concerns. (Our apologizes!)

Service Department Process

  • Our technicians and drivers are directed to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness at all times through frequent handwashing, wearing a mask, wearing disposable gloves while in your vehicle and changing gloves between driving vehicles.
  • Your Service Consultant will be available to answer all your questions and review your paperwork by email /phone.
  • Your Service Consultant will email your Invoice, your Inspection sheet and a link to pay your Invoice on-line.
  • Once you have the confirmation that the on-line payment has been made, your vehicle is ready for pick-up.
  • You may then pick up your keys from the Service Assistant in the Main Vestibule.

Sales or Parts Department Process

  • For either process, before you enter the dealership, or get into a vehicle, you will need to have a face mask on, sanitize your hands and put on a new set of gloves, (that we provide)
  • Sales Process - you may come into the Showroom and one of our friendly Sales Consultants will be directed to assist you.
  • Parts Process - you may proceed inside to the Customer Parts Counter where one of our friendly and helpful Part Consultants will serve you.

Customer Practices

The following measures will further help us to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone in our dealership and in our community:

  • If you have recently returned from another country, we kindly ask that you respect the guidelines of health authorities and do not visit the dealership for at least 14 days after your return date
  • If you are not feeling well, or you have had contact with another person affected by the COVID-19 virus, we kindly ask that you do not bring your vehicle in for service
  • Our associates are directed to wear disposable gloves, wash their hands between customer contacts and to refrain from shaking hands at this time; please accept our salutations as a sign of respect and consideration for your health and safety
  • We will ensure that the lines of communication with our customers remain open throughout this situation and that our health guidelines are always current. We have several ways that you can communicate with our staff

Mandatory In-dealer Employee Practices

We regularly communicate with our associates, emphasizing the best practices needed to guard against the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. These practices include frequent handwashing, utilizing hand sanitizer stations and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, to name a few. Associates who are not feeling well are instructed to stay home, monitor their symptoms and get tested, if necessary. Associates who are returning from travel outside of Canada are instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days, as per the guidance of health experts.

All of our customer facing associates will have a mask and gloves on when they are in contact with customers.

We will continue to be diligent in monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic in our region, and will respond based on the advice of governments, public health authorities and medical professionals. We will do our best to maintain a superior level of service at all times—but, for the time being, this service may look different as we continue to focus on health and safety above all else.
